Occupations such as those in transportation, construction, nursing and factory work have the highest rate of back injuries.“In construction, 25% of injuries are back injuries, causing 1 in 100 workers to miss work, usually missing about 7 work days, but sometimes more than 30 days. Most of the back problems are low back injuries.” The Center to Protect Workers Rights (CPWR)
